VLC Media Player 1.0 RC1 (Goldeneye) is here!

Popular software cataloguing site FileHippo has made available the first release candidate of the much awaited VLC media player 1.0. Codenamed Goldeneye, the latest version brings together a bunch of new features, improved decoders, and better playback support, among other things.

The interface is basically the same as in the 0.9.x (Grishenko) series.

You can download the latest version from FileHippo, as VLC’s home page seems to have no information about this release candidate as yet.
