You may have heard that Mozilla has rolled out a new fork of it’s vastly popular Firefox browser – the Firefox Campus Edition – for quite sometime. Well, it is just Firefox with three inbuilt add-ons – FoxyTunes, StumbleUpon and Zotero.

FoxyTunes
*****
A small and handy add-on to listen to your favorite music while surfing the web. FoxyTunes integrates with almost every media player out there; Windows Media Player, Real Player, QuickTime Player, Winamp, Rhythmbox (for Gnome Linux), Amarok (for KDE Linux) to name a few. FoxyTunes is extremely simple to operate and has remained as one of Firefox’s most popular add-ons.

StumbleUpon
*****
The StumbleUpon toolbar connects you to every site mentioned in the StumbleUpon database. You can browse the sites of your interest and make friends with other Stumblers. The StumbleUpon toolbar, too, has been a very popular add-on.

Zotero
*****
This add-on is very useful for students to make quick notes, store files and entire websites, automatic capture of citation information from web pages, and integration with Microsoft Office and OpenOffice.org.

All these three add-ons work perfectly well on the Firefox versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

So Firefox Campus Edition must be looking really cool, ain’t? Not really. As I have said it’s just Firefox with the three mentioned add-ons. If you have Firefox, rush to the Mozilla Add-ons page and grab these add-ons to make a campus of your Firefox!
