Download.com Sports a New Look

July 21st, 2008 Ashutosh Mishra

The world’s largest software downloading site, Download.com of CNET, is now sporting a new refined look. The divide between Windows, Mac and mobile tools is now more distinct and searching option has got an uplift too. The web pages have been streamlined for faster loading, and more convenient information is available for the software tools. In fact, the entire CNET website has got this new look. However a header banner states that the new sites are still under ‘beta’, so we can expect more changes in coming days.

Personally, I appreciate the vast improvements, though I must admit I’m not a big fan of the Georgia font (which has been plentifully used all over). Save that, there’s little to moan about.

What’s your view of the new looks of Download.com? Drop them in your comments. :)

Yeah I’m alright, but I’m going through a lot these days which is preventing me from blogging. I’ve already joined an engineering college in Mechanical stream and I’m now staying in the institute hostel (lol!). I got my laptop just a few days back and I’m still in the process of Ashu-fying it; I’ll start blogging as soon as I’m satisfied with it. One bad thing is the institute has blocked a huge number of websites, so software testing will be limited. :(

Good to see that someone is still dropping by!
    :)
