Happy New Year! I wish all the subscribers and visitors of PC Tonic a very happy and prosperous year! I would also like to thank everyone (Amanda, Atin, Sven,WLW team, Pradosh, …) who have helped me in some or the way to keep this blog running.

Blogging goals for 2009

PC Tonic has been up and running for over a year, but it’s never got that “take off” push. I guess this has been mostly due to the naive posts in the past, Blogger sub-domain, slow page loading, and a non-SEO design. I would obviously like to address all these problems this year; this will take quite some time, but I’m ready to learn. :)

I’ll try to cover wider tech topics and continuously refine my writing skills, by following other successful blogs. Consistency is another factor this blog has been missing; so I’ll try to be regular and rope in about 15-20 posts every month.

Many successful bloggers make the move to WordPress some time or other because of it’s transparent  code, and ability to be modified to everyone’s likes. Somewhere around mid-year I’ll finally be switching over to WordPress on my self-hosted domain. I do love Blogger and will continue maintaining this blog as well [ it’s not very difficult to maintain two blogs when you’re on Windows Live Writer :) ]. Meanwhile I would be really grateful if you could point out some really good and free WordPress tutorials for beginners.

So that’s it from me. Enjoy a great new year! :)
